Wanted: Moms with great inventions, service or business ideas. For the fourth year, moms are encouraged to enter their ideas into the Whirlpool Brand Mother of Invention Grant program. The competition provides moms with an opportunity to win seed money and expert advice to help make business dreams a reality.

In addition to traditional ideas, a new green category in 2008 will recognize moms with sustainable creations. At least two moms with ideas that minimize impact on environmental resources or use recycled/natural materials to create the invention will be awarded grants.

The grand prize is a $20,000 grant, office stipend and Whirlpool brand appliances. Julie Aigner-Clark, creator of Baby Einstein, will help judge this year’s entries. All moms with ideas are welcome to enter.

Entries will be accepted through July 31, 2008.

This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the United States, excluding Puerto Rico, age 18 or older at the time of entry. Sweepstakes ends October 1, 2008.
